''Travel Vouchers are available instead of bus permits for residents with a permanent disability and to registered blind residents. Travel Vouchers can be used for taxi, private hire and community car journeys that start or finish within Dacorum.

Eligible residents may have one book of £100 vouchers per year.

Disabled residents may have either a Bus Permit or Travel Vouchers, but not both. Once the concession has been issued, you cannot change it within the year, unless your circumstances have changed.

From April 2006, Dacorum travel vouchers are accompanied by a photocard.''

Using your Travel Vouchers

You can use your Dacorum Travel Vouchers as full payment or part payment for a journey within Dacorum.

Being a private hire company licensed with Dacorum Borough Council we accept the vouchers. Though please quote when booking and before starting your journey please check with your driver and ask if they will accept the vouchers. Our drivers are not obliged to accept them or give you change. Vouchers will only be accepted with a valid photocard, valid vouchers and the person on the photocard. We can accept passengers as well...you are paying for the journey, not just yourself!

To apply for your Dacorum Travel Vouchers you just have to visit one of the Dacorum's Civic Centres, call the travel line on 01442 867870 or download a form from the website above.
