The owner of the company, Kim Franks, founded the company December 1996.
This is our 14th year of serving Berkhamsted and the surrounding areas.
 
Kim has always lived in Hertfordshire but came to Berkhamsted and attended Park View school when she was 12, in 1969, then on to Ashlyns school.
Kim has had a varied work history including working for a local bus company and being a delivery driver all over the country. Not only does she have a comprehensive knowledge of the local areas but she has developed her geographical knowledge of the country too.
Kim prides her company on their excellent customer service and satisfaction.
While growing up Kim learned a lot from her father, John, also a KimsKars driver.
 
John started off as a train driver, has an HGV class 1 licence and was also a continental driver. He has been the driving force behind KimsKars on customer service and his excellent interpersonnal skills.

Company history
 
The company was founded in December 1996 by Kim Franks after she moved to Berkhamsted.
 
In the beginning, the company was more popular than Kim had anticipated and things took off pretty quickly, John had to come on board weeks after starting the company!
 
With the popularity of the company still growing, Kim's sister Kay went for her licence and she has now been driving for Kim for 10 years.
 
At one point to cope with increased demand Kim needed 15 drivers, but now she has a large team of loyal drivers who go out of their way to make the customers journey comfortable and swift.
